The Director General of Neighbour2Neighbour Network, Dr. Bobby Ekpenyong, has said Governor Bassey Edet Otu and the All Progressives Congress will record a landslide victory in Cross River State during the 2027 general elections.
Ekpenyong stated this while speaking on the outcome of a statewide tour embarked upon by members of his Neighbour2Neighbour Network. He said the tour covered all local government areas and provided direct engagement with residents at the grassroots.
“I have gone round every local government in the state. I have gone round with my team, known as Neighbour2Neighbour Network. We have interfaced with the people; we’ve heard what people are saying,” he said.
According to him, the feedback received across communities shows overwhelming support for the Otu administration and its second term bid.
“The people of Cross River State are overwhelmingly behind Senator Bassey Edet Otu-led government of Cross River State. They are very ready to vote for Governor Otu. They are very ready to vote for all APC candidates,” Ekpenyong stated.
He noted that some residents expressed such strong confidence in the governor that they said only divine intervention could stop his re-election. “We had statements like, ‘It’s only the second coming of Christ that will stop Governor Otu from becoming governor in 2027.’ That was the remark from the people. Clear statement,” he said.
Ekpenyong attributed the growing support to the administration’s achievements in security, infrastructure, agriculture, investment drive and workers’ welfare. He said the governor has repositioned Cross River and set the state on a new course of growth after years of neglect.
The Neighbour2Neighbour DG said the grassroots mobilization carried out by his network has convinced him that the APC is well positioned ahead of 2027.
“I have looked round. I don’t see where any other party will win. I’ve not seen any position any other party will win,” he declared.
He predicted victory for the APC in all categories of elections in the state, from the presidency down to the State House of Assembly.
“We will win. APC will take Cross River State. We will win in the Presidential, Senate, House of Reps, Governorship, House of Assembly; 5 over 5,” Ekpenyong said.
