The Cross River State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Messotho Group Limited for the development of an ultra modern market in Calabar, the CRS Capital.
The development represents a clear effort to strengthen commercial activities, improve public facilities and support long term economic growth across the state.
The Commissioner for Commerce, Hon. Dr. (Mrs.) Abigail Orok Duke JP, signed the document on behalf of the government.
She spoke with evident enthusiasm about the project, noting that the planned market would provide a more orderly and efficient environment for traders and help raise the standard of commercial infrastructure in the capital.
The project which will be sited in Henshaw Town, Calabar South LGA, is expected to open new opportunities for businesses, strengthen local commerce and contribute to the wider transformation of the state’s economic landscape.
