HIGH CHIEF Henry Onwe, President of Cross River Businessmen's Forum has extolled His Excellency, Senator , Apostle, Prince Bassey Edet Otu for his magnanimity in re-instating 3000 local government workers back to the state's payroll.
In a press statement issued in Calabar on Friday and made available to newsmen, High Chief Henry Onwe said the action of the Governor clearly demonstrates he has unquantifiable love for humanity.
"The Governor's decision is a rare demonstration of love and goodwill for the people particularly young people who are the bulk of the beneficiaries of our Sweet Prince's action.This decision would have a quantum effect in our states economy and aggregate development. He is such a rare asset to our dear state who is strongly committed to building and fostering lasting relationships, development and societal advancement for the present and future generations in our state".
High Chief Henry Onwe stated in the statement that what Governor Otu has done with the reinstatement would bring great joy to thousands of homes not just to those whose jobs were restored but the cumulative and chain effect typical of an African society where an action in one family reverberates and replicates across many other households and families.
President of the Cross River Businessmen’s Forum also highlighted the immense economic impact of His Excellency's action to include;
Fueling State-Wide Growth: Returning 3,000 workers to the payroll injects immediate purchasing power into the local economy, driving aggregate development across Cross River.
