A message of spiritual authority, national destiny and renewed hope took centre stage in Calabar as the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star formally announced activities marking the 25th anniversary of the physical coronation of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, revered by members as the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Addressing journalists at the Sen. Bassey Otu Hall within the State Library Complex, the spokesman of the Brotherhood, PCS Dr. Amah Williams, conveyed what he described as a divine mandate to invite humanity to the landmark celebration, tagged The Universal Monarch.
He said the anniversary, which coincides with the Easter season, carries deep spiritual meaning for adherents, symbolizing both the suffering and glorification of Christ, and reaffirming their belief in the manifestation of divine authority on earth.
According to him, the physical coronation of April 14, 2001 remains a defining moment in the Brotherhood’s history, representing the fulfilment of biblical prophecies and the enthronement of divine glory witnessed by mankind.
He explained that the Silver Jubilee celebration would feature a series of activities beginning on April 13 at the Brotherhood’s World Headquarters and culminating in a grand finale at the U. J. Esuene Stadium on April 19.
Williams noted that the events would include spiritual gatherings, humanitarian outreach, academic conferences, musical renditions and the consecration of religious leaders, drawing participants from across the world.
He emphasized that the celebration is open to all people irrespective of religious affiliation, status or nationality, describing it as a universal gathering centered on peace, unity and divine love.
Highlighting the impact of the last twenty five years, he stated that the reign of His Holiness has brought spiritual growth, institutional expansion and global outreach, with the Brotherhood now present across continents.
However, the most striking aspect of the briefing centered on prophetic declarations concerning Cross River State and Nigeria, which Williams said remain pivotal to understanding the significance of the anniversary.
He revealed that the Holy Father had pronounced blessings upon Cross River State, assuring residents of a transformation that would elevate the state into a position of economic prominence.
According to him, the declaration that Cross River would emerge as an oil producing state is already gaining credibility, following recent hydrographic and geological confirmations indicating the presence of oil and gas deposits.
Williams said the prophecy signals a turning point in the fortunes of the state, positioning it for rapid development and increased relevance within Nigeria’s economic landscape.
He urged residents to remain united and peaceful, stressing that the realization of these blessings depends on sustained harmony and collective faith in divine purpose.
The spokesman further conveyed that the Holy Father has consistently emphasized love, unity and cooperation among Cross Riverians, describing the state as a land chosen for divine manifestation.
Turning to the national outlook, Williams disclosed that Nigeria occupies a unique place in the divine plan, with the Holy Father declaring the country as spiritually significant and deeply loved by God.
He stated that Nigeria is destined to become a model for good governance, unity and prosperity, provided its leaders embrace justice, compassion and accountability.
According to him, the message to those in authority is clear that power must be exercised with conscience, and that leadership is a sacred trust that must serve the people rather than oppress them.
He stressed that the poor and vulnerable must not be neglected, warning that governance driven by greed and selfishness stands contrary to divine expectations.
Williams also relayed assurances that despite current economic and security challenges, Nigeria is on the path to renewal, with divine intervention set to usher in peace and prosperity.
He added that as the country approaches the 2027 general elections, citizens have been urged to avoid violence, as only the will of God would ultimately prevail.
On global affairs, the message emphasized that true peace cannot be achieved through military strength or political dominance, but through justice, equity and a return to God.
He extended condolences to families affected by violence and insecurity across Nigeria and other parts of the world, assuring them of divine comfort and restoration.
Williams concluded by reiterating the invitation to the global community to participate in the anniversary celebration, describing it as an opportunity to witness what he termed the unfolding of divine glory.
He expressed confidence that the event would not only mark a historic milestone for the Brotherhood, but also serve as a moment of reflection for humanity on the values of love, unity and righteous leadership.
