Akamkpa Chairman Completes State-of-the-Art Classroom Block at Njagachang Primary, Awaits Commissioning

The administration of Hon. (Ophot) Felix Akposi KSJI has recorded another milestone in its education drive with the completion of a modern three-classroom block at Government Primary School, Njagachang. The project, now fully delivered and awaiting formal commissioning, stands as a clear demonstration of the council’s resolve to strengthen foundational education across Akamkpa Local Government Area.

The newly completed structure is designed to provide a safe, spacious and child-friendly learning environment for pupils. Equipped with well-ventilated classrooms and supportive facilities, the building replaces learning conditions that had long required attention, offering both teachers and pupils a renewed sense of pride and motivation.

Speaking on the development, the Chairman, Hon. (Ophot) Felix Akposi KSJI, said his administration places a premium on education because it remains the bedrock of sustainable development. “If we must secure the future of Akamkpa, we must start from the primary school level. Our children deserve to learn in an environment that inspires confidence, curiosity and excellence,” he stated.

He further noted that the project aligns with his broader policy thrust of creating an enabling and conducive atmosphere for learning across the local government. “This is not an isolated intervention. It is part of a deliberate and strategic effort to upgrade our primary schools. We are determined to touch more schools in this drive so that no child is left behind,” the Chairman affirmed.

Community leaders and parents in Njagachang have welcomed the development, describing it as timely and impactful. Many expressed optimism that improved infrastructure would translate into better attendance, stronger academic performance and a more vibrant school culture.

With the project now completed and set for commissioning, attention is turning to other primary schools listed under the council’s education improvement plan. For the Akposi-led administration, the message is clear: building classrooms is not merely about structures, but about shaping the future of Akamkpa one pupil at a time.
