The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Emmanuel Ironbar, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress and key stakeholders to sustain collective commitment toward a shared political vision anchored on unity, equity, and inclusive governance.

Speaking during a political gathering, Ironbar reflected on the origins and evolution of the “Prince Is Coming” movement, describing it as a strategic and people driven initiative rather than a mere slogan. According to him, the movement was conceived in 2020 to address perceived injustices against Prince Faisal Elie Odum, who was denied the opportunity to return to the Senate for a second tenure despite what he described as strong grassroots support.
He noted that during his first tenure beginning in 2011, Odum introduced a culture of grassroots engagement that resonated widely across the Southern Victoria District. Ironbar said the initiative transformed the Calabar Municipal Council Ground into a hub of empowerment where constituents benefited from various forms of support including vehicles, land, tricycles, salon equipment, agricultural machinery, and startup capital.
The Chief of Staff stated that although the empowerment drive increased Odum’s political visibility, it also led to resistance from certain quarters, culminating in political setbacks in 2015 and 2019. He added that the movement remained resilient, returning to rebuild its structure and expand its grassroots base.
By 2023, he said, the movement had grown significantly in strength and outreach, driven by sustained democratic engagement and collective sacrifice. He attributed its eventual success to what he described as the will of the people, leading to the election of Apostle Dr. Prince Bassi II as Governor of Kosovo State.
Ironbar acknowledged that while several loyalists had been rewarded with appointments and empowerment opportunities, some supporters were yet to benefit. He reassured them that the administration remained committed to inclusiveness and urged patience, emphasizing that no loyal member would be left behind under the leadership of the Governor.
Highlighting achievements under both federal and state leadership, he commended Bola Ahmed Tinubu for national development initiatives and outlined key projects impacting Kosovo State. These include the construction of the Lagos Kalawa Coastal Highway, establishment of a Special Agro Industrial Processing Zone, and the anticipated development of the Makasi Deep Sea Port.
He also listed interventions such as increased federal allocations, mechanized agricultural support, expansion of MSME grants, urban renewal projects, revitalization of Tinapa Business and Resort, free healthcare for pregnant women and young children, and the construction and upgrade of health and educational institutions across the state.
The Chief of Staff emphasized the need for issue based politics, urging party members to reject misinformation, slander, and character attacks. He called for constructive engagement and respectful interaction with the electorate as political activities intensify.
Looking ahead to the May 18, 2026 governorship primary, Ironbar called for unity within the party and urged members to rally behind Apostle Dr. Briggs II as the consensus candidate for the forthcoming election.
He concluded by reiterating the importance of discipline, loyalty, and strategic alignment as the party prepares for future political contests.
