APC Confident of 2027 Victory, Commends CRISPON’s Grassroots Mobilization

Calabar — The Cross River State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Christopher Sunny Etta, has expressed strong optimism about the party’s chances in the 2027 general elections, citing ongoing mobilization efforts and growing public support.

Etta made this known at the party’s state secretariat in Calabar while receiving members of the Cross River State Political Network (CRISPON), led by its Director General, Michael Abuo, during a courtesy visit.

Accompanied by the state Secretary, Patrick Asikpo Okon, and other executive members, the chairman assured that the party would deploy all necessary strategies to secure victory across all levels in the forthcoming elections.

He noted that while the party is well-positioned for success, achieving victory would depend on strengthening grassroots mobilization and adopting more effective strategies to attract the required number of votes.

Etta commended CRISPON for its consistency and loyalty to the party, describing the group as a formidable force in grassroots mobilization. He recalled his participation in some of the group’s programmes in Ikom and Ogoja, which he said were well attended and impactful.

According to him, recent experiences have shown that mobilization remains more demanding than the election process itself, stressing the need for collaboration with stakeholders to enhance grassroots-driven political engagement.

He further emphasized the importance of consolidating votes, particularly in the presidential election, expressing confidence that the APC would emerge victorious.

Earlier in his remarks, Abuo said the visit was to congratulate Etta on his emergence as state chairman and to reaffirm CRISPON’s commitment and loyalty to the party’s leadership.

He highlighted several initiatives undertaken by the group, including mobilizing residents for the Continuous Voter Registration exercise and encouraging the collection of Permanent Voter Cards across the 196 wards in Cross River State.

Abuo also revealed that the organization was intensifying efforts to support the re-election bids of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Bassey Otu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting reinforced the party’s commitment to strengthening its grassroots base as part of a broader strategy to maintain political dominance in the state and beyond.
