2027: Coalition of Professionals Holds Strategic Political Structure Meeting , Appoints New State Executives

 The Coalition of Professionals for Malam Nasir Elrufai under the leadership of Mr Chapp Jumbo Jonathan has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening democratic governance and institutional credibility following a well-attended political structure meeting held yesterday 18th January 2026 in Portharcourt Rivers State 




The meeting, which brought together key stakeholders, coordinators, and professionals from diverse sectors, focused on consolidating the Coalition’s organizational framework and repositioning it as a formidable platform for responsible political engagement and nation-building.


A major highlight of the meeting was the appointment and ratification of new State Executive Committee (Exco) members. 


The newly appointed executives were carefully selected based on competence, integrity, and proven capacity to deliver on the Coalition’s objectives. 


Participants expressed confidence that the new leadership will provide the needed direction and coordination to drive the activities of the Coalition at the state level.


In his address, the Covener Mr Chapp Jumbo Jonathan has who was represented by Archbishop Iyango Eric Lazarus outlined the vision and mission of the political structure, emphasizing professionalism, inclusiveness, accountability, and service to the people.


The Convener reiterated its resolve to build a political culture that places national interest above personal or sectional considerations, while encouraging active participation of professionals in governance processes.


Deliberations also centered on the Coalition’s overarching goal of working towards the emergence of a credible government and a functional system anchored on transparency, justice, and good governance.


 Members agreed that the current socio-political realities demand deliberate efforts by professionals to contribute ideas, policies, and structures capable of restoring public confidence in governance, which made them to uphold the coalition's slogan as "COP for Nasir Elrufai, *Let Nigeria Live* 


The meeting concluded with a collective call for unity, discipline, and sustained engagement across all levels of the structure. Participants therefore resolved to intensify grassroots coordination, strengthen internal communication, and support initiatives that promote democratic values and institutional reforms.


Meanwhile, in their submission, the newly elected State Cordinator Hon Prince Bipialaka and one of the Patrons Capt Mempha Esso said the Coalition of Professionals remains committed to playing a constructive role in shaping a responsive government and a system that works for all citizens. 


Those who attended the meeting include several state officers, LGA coordinators and other stakeholders.
