Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Chris Sunny Eta and his newly elected members of the State Working Committee (SWC), have been assured of total and unalloyed support from the leadership and members of APC in Obanliku.
Speaking on the purpose of the visit, Leader, Dr. Justin Beshel, the Honorable Commissioner for Science and Technology, expressed gratitude and conveyed the heartfelt wishes of the people of Obanliku, assuring the state chairman and the team's total support. He further reiterated that, as a team rooted in equity and justice, Obanliku Team Justice will support the overall growth of the party.
In her remarks also, former Head of Service of Cross River State, Dr. Mrs. Ntunkae Mary-Theresa Ikwen, mni, extolled the leadership capacity of the party chairman, while assuring him of the unflinching support of the people. She noted further that the people have yearned for true leadership and God hath provided a worthy leader, like Moses.
Former Secretary to Cross River State Government, Barr. Mike Upan Aniah, expressed confidence in the capacity and personality of the chairman, while pledging total commitment towards the advancement of the aims and objectives.
Addressing the August visitors, the State Chairman, Rt. Hon. Chris Etta, commended the initiative, while expressing deep appreciations. He noted that the visit was first of its kind since his assumption of office. He also stated; that those who go early to the stream to fetch water, do not fetch dirty water, affirming that he will work closely with the people.
The chairman also underscored the importance of stakeholders in party structure, declaring that winning of elections is possible because of stakeholders and not the elected executives. He further assured of level playing ground for all, maintaining that that no single individual will be treated above the party. He encouraged everyone to abide by laid down principles of the party, commending the honorable commissioner and the team for the thoughtful foresight; being the first to pay him a courtesy visit after the inauguration.
In the entourage were; Prof. Austin Ogogo, who acknowledged the salient legislative achievements of the chairman while serving as Member of House of Representatives for Boki/ Ikom Federal Constituency.
Others present were Evang. Dr. Mrs Margaret Inde, Commissioner, Diaspora Commission; Hon. Jerry Ashua (Former Chairman of Obanliku LGA) and Hon. Bridget Alina, Former Commissioner of Local Government Service Commission.
Also in the team were Mr Raphael Ugaji; Mr Stephen Atukanre; Mr Fidelis Basake; Hon. Timothy Adah; Mr Matthew Ucheche; Hon. Benjamin Beshel; Mr Kelvin Adah and Mr Clement Kayang, and the immediate past Chapter Chairman, Pastor George Ejikang.
Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of portrait souvenir, and the outpouring of goodwill messages on the host.
