The Chairman of the Cross River State Diaspora Commission (CRIDCOM), Otuekong Chief Otu Okor, FCAI, has been inducted as a Doctoral Fellow of the Institute of Management and Advanced Leadership Excellence (IMALE) during a ceremony held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The recognition celebrates Okor’s contributions to leadership and professional development, particularly his role in engaging Cross Riverians in the diaspora. Speaking after the induction, the CRIDCOM chairman described the honour as both humbling and motivating, noting that it represents a call to deepen his commitment to service and leadership.
He emphasized that the fellowship reflects not only his personal efforts but also the support he has received from his family, Cross Riverians living abroad, and residents of the state who continue to encourage his work.
Okor dedicated the honour to the Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Edet Otu, whom he praised for inspiring purposeful leadership and people-focused governance. According to him, the recognition strengthens his resolve to continue contributing to leadership development and impactful service.
In his welcome remarks, the Registrar of IMALE, Abubakar Sadeeq Yusuf, reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to nurturing professionals equipped to address the demands of an evolving global environment. He explained that through its leadership programmes, research initiatives, and collaborations, the institute aims to build a platform where knowledge and practical leadership skills intersect.
Yusuf also encouraged the newly inducted fellows to uphold the institute’s core values of character, competence, and ethical leadership, stressing that they now carry the responsibility of representing the institute as ambassadors of excellence.
The ceremony drew professionals and notable personalities from various sectors, highlighting outstanding achievements in leadership, management, and professional development.
